Room 16 Happenings

Welcome to the Ashburton Borough School Room 16 Blog. We are year 5 & 6 students (aged 9-11) and live in Ashburton, New Zealand. We want to share what we're up to with people near and far -please leave us comments! We draft our writing on to this blog, without our teacher correcting it, so hopefully you can understand it even if there are a few mistakes!!

science day

Today room16 had a science day. We made pitfall traps with plastic cups to put in the ground so the top was level with the ground. Pieces of fruit had to be put in the cup so that the bugs would come and fall in and get trapped. We also made fly traps out of drink-bottles. Fruit also had to be put in the bottles.
